Discovery Leadership Profile for the Public Sector™

The Discovery Leadership Profile for the Public Sector™ is a 360-degree multi-rater leadership assessment developed by Discovery Learning that provides leaders in the public sector with feedback on how their specific leadership practices are perceived by others.

The Discovery Leadership Profile for the Public Sector™ gathers perspectives from individual leaders and up to 17 selected raters regarding leadership performance on competencies essential for effective leadership in the public sector. Raters can include boss(es), peers, direct reports and others. The result of 10 years of work with public sector managers, this specialized assessment measures performance by responses to 62 items which are divided into 15 competencies identified as being critical to successful leadership in the public sector. The confidential and aggregated responses of raters are compared to the self-assessment of the leader in color graphs that clearly highlight the leadership strengths and developmental needs of the individual leader. This highly effective and specialized assessment includes the participant workbook, Maximizing Results, and a 12-week goal-setting Plus component which provides the leader with a follow-up report on improvement on up to five goals and overall effectiveness. Both are designed to aid the leader in implementing necessary and lasting behavior changes identified by the feedback.
