
Rob Kramer
Senior Consultant
Rob, Senior Consultant with AvoLead LLC is the director of the Public and Academic Leadership Alliance and the owner of Kramer Leadership Consulting & Coaching in Chapel Hill, NC. He serves AvoLead clients as an executive coach and organizational development specialist with an emphasis on practical knowledge, reflective learning and specific actions that have application to real world situations.
Since 1998, Rob has consulted in private and Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, health care environments, government agencies and educational institutions. With a well-rounded, holistic approach combining structured initiatives with plenty of humor and encouragement, he coaches CEO’s and other executives, federal government political appointees, entrepreneurs and front line managers. Rob is an adjunct faculty member for the Federal Executive Institute, the premiere executive leadership training facility for the federal government, where he provides both residential and customized programs.
Previously, as Director of Training & Development at UNC-Chapel Hill, he served as an executive coach and organizational development consultant overseeing management, supervisory and leadership development curriculum for the University’s 12,000 faculty and staff. Additionally, he served as the founding director of the Center for Leadership & Organizational Excellence at NC A&T State University.
Rob received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Delaware and his Masters degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. He completed certification in Organizational Development through UNC-Charlotte. He is qualified to use and interpret the MBTI, FIRO-B and a number of 360º assessment instruments.
Rob is a seasoned practitioner in meditation, yoga, cycling, performing art, healthy cooking and work/life balance.
