Nigel serves AvoLead clients as an executive coach and organizational consultant specializing in leadership development and business performance coaching. His transformational coaching style is rooted in a “people first” philosophy – blending impeccable integrity, unique insights and solid business experience with best-in-class coaching protocols to deliver meaningful business results through enhanced leadership awareness, focus and skill. His keen insight to understand, analyze and contribute to an executive’s problem solving and opportunity recognition have earned Nigel a reputation for developing coaching relationships that quickly transform into learning zones for continuous development.

With more than 25 years in leadership roles delivering bottom line results across multiple business functions, Nigel’s approach to executive development is grounded in understanding the preferences and needs of leaders, believing this is key to helping executives identify and achieve measurable and meaningful behavioral change. His success building and leading diverse teams equips him to coach and counsel senior leaders on the steps that drive change and sustain success in organizations large and small.

In addition to his work for AvoLead and serving as a member of its Board of Managers, Nigel delivers results as the managing partner of his Alexandria, Virginia-based practice, Adams Consulting, LLC, where he currently coaches several C-Level leaders, individual entrepreneurs, and high potential corporate officers in a variety of functional areas. He recently had the privilege to facilitate a developmental experience for a team of 19 senior Fortune 500 leaders in China to raise global awareness and perspective.

Nigel’s extensive background in management and senior leadership spans a wide range of disciplines in Fortune 500 and fast growing startups. He has served in a variety of senior level roles ranging from Director to Vice President. His performance led to his recruitment to JetBlue Airways in 2002 where he developed a Customer Service division that resulted in Customer engagement programs and service levels that were award-winning and recognized three consecutive years as industry-leading.

After earning a BA in Management and Finance from Marshall University, Nigel has continued to add to his education, completing various coursework at the graduate and executive levels throughout his career.

Nigel lives in Alexandria with his wife Andrea, daughter Jacqueline and two Boxers, Asia and Kenya. When he’s not working, he enjoys road biking, cooking, reading and exercise. His most memorable travels include New Year’s Eve in Paris 2001 and travel to Rwanda to dedicate a boarding school for orphans of the Rwandan Genocide.
