Lynn Malmstrom

Board of Managers

Lynn serves as a member of the AvoLead LLC Board of Managers, lending more than three decades of expertise in driving success across public, private, non-profit and government entities. A powerful and creative problem solver, Lynn excels in working with companies to achieve superior results in both high growth and restructure situations.

An innovative senior executive and financial expert, Lynn began his career in the U.S. Air Force and was one of seven officers selected as a Rand Research Fellow. Following a post at the Pentagon in the Cost and Management Analysis Division, he left active duty to join CACI, Inc. There, he developed and executed a comprehensive cost/benefit analysis to determine the effectiveness of a $250 million Department of Defense project to improve the tracking, delivery validation and billing for U.S. Foreign Military Sales programs worldwide.

Later, he held VP and CFO posts within the healthcare, aviation, specialty retail and technology industries. As founder of an independent consulting group, he worked with business owners to improve tactical execution, secure funding and expand business opportunities. Lynn is currently President and CEO of CALSTAR, a non-profit organization that provides emergency air transportation for critically injured or ill patients to hospitals throughout California.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Lynn earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Utah and Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine University.

During his leisure time, Lynn enjoys motorcycling, building furniture, working in stained glass and pottery, as well as spending time with his wife, Sharon, on her Friesian horse business.
