Jaime serves AvoLead clients as an organizational consultant specializing in corporate strategy and sustainability. His commitment and passion quickly earn him the confidence of his clients, enabling him to effectively guide them in leading their organization toward transformational change. His unique contribution comes from a thorough understanding of structured planning and business decision-making models and tools. As a result, Jaime is highly valued by clients for his ability to translate complex concepts into understandable objectives and action plans that make sense to people at all levels of the organization.
Propelled by a desire to connect the dots between corporate strategy, sustainability and greenhouse gases (new regulations, carbon markets and baselines), Jaime has certifications in Greenhouse Gas Accounting, Project Level Accounting, and Information Management Systems for Organizations from the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute in Colorado. He also holds Program Management Professional certification from the Program Management Institute in Pennsylvania.
Jaime’s enthusiasm for excellence is evident in his personal and professional achievements. Noteworthy accomplishments during his 11 years at global management consulting firm Accenture include his contributions to the Madrid 2012 and 2016 Olympic candidacies. With the complete confidence of the Olympic Bid President, Jaime managed and led all work in the Strategy and Technology areas for both bids, reporting directly to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and managing a team of 30 people for more than five years.
Thanks to the diversity of his client and project experience, Jaime’s expertise is as broad as it is deep. Previous projects and clients include planning and implementation of Decisional and CRM Tools at Carrefour International; Architecture and Change Management Program design at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; and management of the Program Management Office of the Information Systems at Banco Santander, one of the 10 largest banks in the world. Two high profile technology projects include the design and implementation of electronic information strategy and the resulting award-winning collaborative web portals for FEDIT, Spanish Federation of Technological Centers and the Spanish city of Pozuelo de Alarcon.
Jaime earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration at the University Complutense of Madrid and has continued his business education through select courses in Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and Tools and Guidelines for Project Management Professionals (PMP) at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) Business School. In 2009, Jaime continued building his corporate sustainability knowledge base by completing a course in Strategic Sustainable Development at the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden, and graduating first in his class in the premier Executive Program of Renewable Energy Project Management at the EOI (Escuela de Organización Industrial) Business School in Madrid. He is currently participating in the Management Development Program at IESE Business School, a program designed for managers that “need to deal with high-level problems and gain a general view of the organization as a whole.” As the best business school in Spain and one of the top five in Europe, IESE also has a school in New York and works closely with the Harvard University in research and education programs.
Jaime has moved from Madrid, Spain, to the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina, USA. Whether he’s relaxing or recharging, he stays connected with nature. An enthusiastic athlete, you are likely to find him hiking, running in half marathons and 10K races, playing basketball and tennis, riding his mountain bike or jet-skiing in the ocean. Jaime’s more leisurely pursuits include reading, enjoying art, studying history, gardening and grilling dinner on the beach with friends and family. He is a volunteer with Caritas, a Catholic organization that is in 182 countries whose vision is to promote humanity through the eradication of poverty and social inequality.
