
Ann Flaherty
Senior Consultant
Ann Flaherty serves AvoLead clients as an executive coach and organizational consultant. Drawing on a rich career spent designing and implementing effective learning experiences in clinical and corporate settings, Ann’s coaching and consulting style is both engaging and effective.
She is especially proud of the body of work to which she contributed during 11 years as Senior Faculty, Assistant Chief Assessor and Feedback Manager at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), an executive education organization ranked in the top 10 worldwide by the Financial Times. At CCL, Ann designed, developed and facilitated several noted leadership programs, including the Looking Glass Experience, the Coaching for Development Program and CCL’s flagship series, the Leadership Development Program.
In addition to her work for AvoLead and CCL, Ann also partners with a worldwide consulting firm. Her collaboration with this firm resulted in a customized coaching and feedback program that has been presented in 10 countries to 180 senior level executives. The program was developed in response to the client’s need for career management, retention and development of their senior level executives throughout the world.
A licensed, practicing psychologist, Ann has held Consulting Psychologist positions at East Carolina University, M.D.Anderson Hospital, University of Texas Medical Branch Impaired Physicians Program, Denver Colorado Police Department, and the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Center. Ann also provided executive coaching for CCL’s Awareness Program for Executive Excellence (APEX). This premiere coaching program for CEOs and senior level executives gave Ann the opportunity to hone her skills in customized assessment, in-depth interviewing, succession planning and business strategy assistance. This combination of coaching and clinical experience makes Ann particularly good at facilitating the self-discovery and learning that enables clients to make noticeable and sustainable improvements in personal effectiveness.
Ann lives in Greensboro, NC. When she’s not working, she enjoys doing Pilates, yoga and weight training. She also loves to swim, ride bikes and kayak. Whenever possible, Ann travels to New England to spend time with her parents and five siblings. Her current favorite pastime is playing with her two-year old niece.
