Amanda Harding

Consultant

Amanda serves AvoLead clients as a Consultant and Assessment Administrator. With a career distinguished by service in the public and private sectors, she contributes a unique perspective to relationship building and operational management within large-scale, complex organizations. Amanda has worked with clients from a broad range of socioeconomic groups and organizational levels, including C-level executives, government officials, Wall Street lawyers, families and students. Recently, she served in multiple roles involving Client Relations, Sales and Project Operations at Quintiles Commercial Solutions, a global company offering strategic, sales and financial partnerships within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

As Director of Career Development & Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law for 9 years, Amanda brought an expertise in organizational design and development with an emphasis on change and conflict management. In this role, she created a Top 25 law school career services program annually serving more than 700 law students and 700 legal employers including international law firms, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and nonprofits. Amanda provided individual and group career counseling, workshops and individual career assessments, including the MBTI, to students and alumni. She is a Paper Planes, Inc.® simulation certified facilitator and is certified to use and interpret the Decision Style Profile® assessment tool.

Amanda worked as an Outplacement Counselor with Nancy Heller & Associates, providing individual counseling and workshops for downsized professionals in the nuclear power industry. During her 7 years as a research psychologist at UT-Austin and UNC-Chapel Hill, she authored research questionnaires and trained and supervised doctoral students in the clinical administration and scoring of individual psychological tests and structured clinical interviews.

Amanda received her M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from UT-Austin and her B.A. in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill. She also earned a Certification in the Management Development Program at the Kenan-Flagler Graduate School of Business at UNC-Chapel Hill.

A long-time resident of Chapel Hill, Amanda is active in organizations dedicated to eliminating homelessness and hunger in her community, including the Inter-Faith Council. She enjoys running and weight training. Her favorite leisure activities revolve around friends and family, dogs, reading and outdoor activities during any season except summer.
